    You really can't beat The Vine on Fireworks night. They put on an excellent free fireworks display every 5th November with a BBQ and toffee apples etc. Always popular and a great family friendly event. Other times they've a decent pub grub menu, a largeish dining room, cosy pub side and a games room. In the summer there's a great enclosed beer garden with Aunt Sally. This is an old fashioned and unpretentious pub. Nice team running it these days.

    Went for Sunday Lunch with a large group. I firstly was put off to see whilst sat in the Garden the kitchen staff & also a member of waiting staff smoking outside  very unprofessional.
    Dinner when it came was very disappointing. 3 small roast potatoes that were so hard they couldn't be eaten. It was swimming in a watery gravy, and was just overall very poor.
    The waitress asked if we'd like a dessert  and then said that the only thing we could have was Apple Pie or ice cream as all the other desserts had gone!! At lunchtime!!
    So in general  I wouldn't go again, and wouldn't recommend it. Sorry!
